Hot galvanized wire gabion box: It is made from high-grade Low Carbon steel iron wire, heavy zinc coated wire, or PVC coated wire through twisting and braiding by machine, as well as galfan coated units. Galfan is a high-performance galvanising process using a zinc/aluminium/mischmetal alloy coating. This offers significantly greater protection than traditional zinc galvanizing.
Where the product is exposed to water courses or a saline environment, we strongly recommend a polymer coated galvanized unit for improved design life.
Welded gabion boxes offer higher dimensional stability, ensuring they maintain their shape better during filling. They are also easier to install and provide a more uniform aesthetic for architectural applications.
Hot-dipped galvanized coating provides long-term protection, typically lasting decades depending on environmental exposure. For harsh or saline environments, Galfan or PVC coating is recommended for even greater durability.
Yes, while we offer standard sizes like 2m x 1m x 1m, the panel sizes and mesh configurations can be customized to meet the specific requirements of your construction or landscaping project.
Yes, the standard package typically includes the necessary assembly accessories such as spiral binders (coils) or joining pins to ensure a complete installation on-site.
Ideally, hard, durable rocks like granite, limestone, or river rock should be used. The stone size should be slightly larger than the mesh aperture (e.g., for an 80mm mesh, use 100mm-200mm stones) to prevent them from falling through.
The gabion panels are flat-packed and securely fastened on pallets. This compact method protects the wire from bending and significantly reduces shipping costs.
